About SheDo50Too
I’m a lifelong student of health, fitness, personal and professional image. My career has spanned from fashion retail in my early days; to wholesale buying and banking, as well as corporate sales training, motivational speaking and workshops. I’m an avid volunteer who believes in giving back to the community. For fun, I have designed one-of-a-kind jewelry since the 90’s; and freelancing since the early 2000’s- helping others with motivation, career-planning, resumé building, business plans, and personal & professional image.
So, why blog? I found over the years that I have truly appreciated all the little tips and tricks that my friends and professionals have shared. Shortcuts and self-help encompassing a myriad of topics. Learning is ongoing and I am always excited to hear a new way of doing something, or a tip, that improves something. In this blog, I simply share my daily life. Hopefully relatable to many who are aging just like me. I share tips on nutrition, exercise and skincare. I discuss aging and some of the things I am doing now. At 52 I am embracing where I am in life and working on my longevity. I am holding on to a youthful feeling within. This blog is an honest look into my daily journey, with hopes of sharing something that’s maybe new and helpful to you or someone else . I am sharing meals and snacks my family actually tries and loves. I’m sharing healthy discoveries we’ve incorporated. If I find a useful gadget or terrific outfit I plan to share. Here, and on my social media, you will find the exercise routines that are working for myself, friends and family. I am not a healthcare professional or expert. So please, always discuss your health and fitness journey with your physician. That being said, I am happy to write and post about my own trials and tribulations and the methods that are working for myself, my family, and others I’ve helped along the way. As an individual simply sharing I cannot predict your outcomes, but I am always happy to respond to comments and messages and offer my insights. .
I am an Amazon Influencer and I have other sponsorships, so I do receive income for some content (which is always disclosed) and items purchased through my links without any additional cost to you. I will always disclose this. I do promise to share only things that I actually use, actually do, and find truly helpful for myself and my family. As a mom of 2 and having struggled with numerous health issues most of my life, I’ve learned to research, educate and advocate for myself and my family when it comes to health, nutrition and self-care.. This blog came about when my youngest daughter was diagnosed with a life threatening health concern of her own, I embarked on a more serious path of seeking reasonable and obtainable nutrition, fitness and overall health for the entire family, all while maintaining an extremely busy and demanding lifestyle. In addition, at 50, I was determined to not let hormones, literally, shape me. I could see things changing and decided to do something about it. Very easy workouts and consistency, along with a healthy diet, have put me exactly where I want to be. At this point in our journey, my youngest child and I are the healthiest, happiest, and most fit we’ve ever been; and our whole family is doing great! With our health & fitness success and the strong encouragement of my family, I decided to, finally, share here on this blog and via social media, with anyone who wants to hear. My trial and error, research, and working with professionals in all facets related to health including; personal trainers, nutritionists, medical professionals, and holistic practitioners may be of help to someone else out there.
Follow my blog and follow me on social media @SheDo50Too, if you want to see the easy and practical things I do daily, to tay fit, healthy, and fashionable.: I plan to share:
