A big, beaming smile is one of the strongest tools we have. Smiling, alone, can improve mood. Just the act of smiling releases “happy” hormones. Our smile not only impacts us as an individual. A simple smile can make one appear happy, open to others, confident, capable and more put-together. It has often been noted that a smile goes a long way in improving ones overall image and looks. It’s a cliche but “A smile can light up a room”. I love to smile and I love to have sparkling white teeth when I do. I believe firmly that a big bright smile gives me a more youthful appearance.
Today, I am going to fill you in on my biggest, personal anti-aging secret, a game-changer in the tooth business. That’s right, you guessed it, at-home teeth whitening. At-home teeth whitening products are a whole new caliber. No longer do you have to visit the dentist to achieve professional level results, or spend 100’s or thousands of dollars. With the latest and greatest over-the-counter tools you can do it all at home. Tooth whitening has been around for decades. In fact, I first started whitening my teeth with little sticky Crest White Strips back in the late 1990’s. Back then, I was working out with a personal trainer to get myself in shape and improve my image a bit. He filled me in on the secret. He used a paint-on gel for super white teeth, which I tried, but this made my teeth very sensitive. Next, I found the original Crest white strips and began a regimen of whitening with these. They were a bit flimsy and made my teeth a little sensitive, but I did it anyway because of the fabulous results. I simply used them a few days and then break for a few days. Well, fast forward from the 90’s, and these strips have evolved tremendousl. Now there’s a new kit that achieves professional level results in only 10 days, at home, for one hour a day. I use them in the morning when I have finished eating and drinking coffee. Or I use them at the end of the day, right before bed. Just place these very sticky, very substantial patches on the teeth and sit back and relax for 1 hour. At the end of the hour place the little light device in the mouth, press the buttons on the side to turn it on. It will cut off, automatically, after only 5 minutes. After that peel off the strips. Give the teeth a little brush and you’re all finished. As I mentioned, repeat this for 10 days to achieve desired results. Sometimes I don’t even need to do it a full 10 days. The photo above is day 1 of this cycle. The best part is this is only needed once every 6 months. So, twice a year I whiten my teeth and have fabulous results. Such good results in fact, that my dentist and my daughter’s dentist ask me every visit what I am doing to whiten my teeth. Additionally, this kit does not make my teeth sensitive at all. Of course everyone has different teeth and genetics so results may vary. I am not a dental expert so I am only able to share my personal results. Please discuss any regimen with your own dental care professional. Another important note is that this kit will not whiten dental work. If you have fillings matched to darker teeth, those areas will not lighten. My teeth are natural and I am extremely pleased with this whitening system. I do use a whitening toothpaste, regularly, and if my teeth or gums feel sensitive I switch out for a gum detoxifying paste or a sensitive toothpaste. I also use a whitening mouth wash morning and night. If I am headed out to a big event, I sometimes touch up with one treatment if I feel my teeth are a little dingy. This is rare. Like I said, I have been using Crest Whitening Strips since the 1990’s and my results have been fabulous. I highly recommend this if your prefer to whiten your teeth at home. A smile works wonders for one’s overall appearance. It can drastically improve image, and it can take years off of the face. I have linked all of the items that I use in my Amazon Store Front. I am loving this whole ensemble at the moment. It is so comfortable and stretchy, it feels like loungewear only it is dressy enough for work or a day around town. The whole outfit is lightweight and wrinkle resistant. It doesn’t show sweat, so if you’re like me, it’s perfect for Spring and Summer. The shoes I have owned for years, however, I found a pair almost identical that I linked in my Amazon Storefront. The bracelet and earrings pair perfectly with this look and match the suede look in the shoes. The earrings come in beautiful packaging, very nice for a gift and are supposed to be tarnish resistant. Also a summer bonus. They can be worn as a double or single hoop. I am 5’2” and just under 110 pounds, I am wearing the pants in XS and it is very true to size. The stretchy material gives a little room to spare. This look is great on it’s own or could be paired with a blazer for the office. The sleeveless sweater works great tucked in but looks fabulous untucked as well. You can find this whole look in my

On occasion, we end up with a few over-ripe bananas that no one wants to eat. I spotted these 2 today and decided to whip up something delicious.
Click here for my Youtube channel, to see the very simple process. This cookie recipe includes very simple pantry staples. You can use any instant oats, even flavored versions. Cinnamon Apple or Maple would be delicious! Any nut or seed butter will work perfectly. I tend to rotate my nut and seed butters for different vitamin and mineral makeup. Protein powder is optional. Any flavor or type will work, even a simple collagen powder will add a little protein to these cookies. One of my favorites, shown in the photo contains protein plus amino acids, vitamins and greens. You can find this protein powder and my other ingredients in my Amazon Storefront by clicking here. As an Amazon Associate I do earn off of purchases made through my links at no additional cost to the buyer. On a side note, I mentioned that I rotate different nut and seed butters because each offer a little different vitamin and nutrient makeup. I do the same with milks. I rotate between: cashew, almond, soy and coconut milk for the different nutritional makeup of each. I have read a number of nutritionists and health experts believe that a wide variety of foods and rotating through this variation is best for overall health. Rotating foods may also be a method in preventing food sensitivities. Over eating 1 item in our diet may lead to more sensitivity to that item.
